Wow, six days since I posted on my own thread! Nothing extraordinary going on. Thanksgiving was here with my youngest son, my parents and my aunt. My oldest son had to work and ex had the girls. Everything turned out lovely and had a couple hours of pleasant conversation.

Friday was really peaceful and spent some time reading. Saturday was back to the usual dull roar one has when you have 4 kids. S17 had one of his oldest friends spend the night. He was visiting his Dad in Lawrence and wanted to know if he could come. they hardly see each other since his Mom moved to Missouri and his Dad to Lawrence. What a difference a few years makes!

Just a little side note. I have been trying to not focus on flirt guy much but Wednesday I was surprised to see his name and shivers just shot down my spine! He did post some pics of his daughter on FB and I sent him a note how good they were. I suppose we are conversing again.

Just some light mystery fluff. A young woman finds out she has some "psychic" powers and she uses them to help solve mysteries. She is an empath so not like medium! I should be reading Killer Angels my choice for book club but it is sad and I just needed to lighten things up. It's okay, I can knock it off in a week...I hope. smile (Plus I read it a several years ago and I just re-watched "Gettysburg" so I should be good.)

Quick lesson not to watch a "Hallmark" movie around the holidays! It was a good movie but all the commercials etc, got to me. I told s14 and d9 that I was sorry that I couldn't keep the family together and how much I love them. They were both so nice and gave me hugs and kisses.

They know and so do I. I did all I could and that is nothing to be ashamed of. Back to a new day.

OMG! Kat, tell me you DIDN'T watch that "A Dog Named Christmas"!!!! I avoid Christmas movies like the plague! Especially Hallmark ones! I can't even make it through one commercial, let alone the whole movie. smile

My mom has an obsession with the "fa la la la Lifetime" movies on Lifetime. MISERABLE! GAG!

Heck....I'm really not wanting to get my decorations out but I'm going to have to for my son's sake. Little does he know how much work it's going to be trying to get them out of the attic by ourselves. We did it last year and I could hardly move for 3 days afterward. smile

I did. It was a very sweet movie. I just cried and that got me going with the holiday/feel like I let the kids down thing. I know it wasn't me. My ex let us all down.

Not going to let that control my life. Sad for a few minutes, let it out and moving on. Time for joy, not sadness. smile

Was that a sad movie? It looked really cute, but I didn't watch it with the kids gone--I figure I'll watch it with them when they are here (well D10 anyway). It did have a happy ending didn't it?

I'm a sucker for hallmark movies too, but I like happy endings at least!!!

Maybe more sentimental. I am a sucker for dogs. However, I can't give away the ending!! Watch it, you will be fine.
