I haven't started shopping yet. I live in downtown in a town of 280k (450k in the region if you include palin's home town) so there are plenty of shopping options. Got all the big box stores: best buy, sprawl mart, target, borders, b&noble, home despot, kohls, old navy. A few upscale retailers like coach and nordstom too.
Other little known facts: highest per capita # registered motorcycle drivers, highest per capita of coffee carts (take that seattle), 1 in 5 vehicles is a subaru (seems like the rest are trucks), largest population of urban moose.
