I'm still disappointed at the outcome of that game! For no good reason, I know. I have no connection with the UofA other than living in Tucson. Looking back on the game there were so many single plays that would have changed the outcome! The exciting thing from my point of view is that even last year the 'Cats wouldn't have even been in the position they are now, or even in the game. So maybe there's more excitement in the future.
On another subject....
After I dropped the kids off this evening, I went back to the local eatery. I was greeted with enthusiasm at the door by the same hostess. She said that she'd been wondering if I would stop in, since I had said that I might. She was on the clock tonight, but she still stopped by and talked a lot. It seems that she is planning to move in a month or so, with her grandmother to Montana! I think she is really scared. I don't think she has any idea what she is up to. She mentioned her mom (who is staying here), her grandmother, and her grandfather as the only people who know she is leaving. Again, no mention of a dad, which I think is significant. I think she might be looking for stable guidance, more than anything. I thought it about it a bit, and wrote down my number, and gave it to her. Told her she could call if she needed to talk to someone sane, since I get the feeling that she doesn't get a lot of that. She promised that she would call, and I said that it was up to her. It might not have been a good idea, but I figure at worst I can block her number and go into hiding!
Quitting time came, and she said she was leaving. I thought she was on the way out, so I took a trip to the restroom, figuring that that way I could be sure I was leaving after she did. I was wrong, she had stopped to talk to someone, and ended up walking out after I did. She was digging through her purse looking for a lighter... I had to tell her she shouldn't smoke, but in a nice way! I said goodbye, and got a nice hug, and a little kiss on the cheek. I am really not at all sure what's going on here!
Oh, well! Tomorrow is another day! Have stuff to do at work, and there won't be a lot of extra people there. Hopefully it will go well!
