My W kept all her jewelry I gave her. They were a gift. I suppose I could have included their value in the division of asset calculation, but I did not. There were certain things we agreed upon to split before that. You have to pick your fights carefully. I say let her keep the rings.

The weird thing is that my W (and her mother) wanted a Buddha necklace (with considerable amount of gold) back that her mother had given me early on in our marriage. I stood my ground and said no as it is a sentimental gift to me even though I am not a Buddhist.
