Well, it's a beautiful day for the Ducks and 'Cats! I went golfing, it was gorgeous! Though my golfing was worse than horrid. I went to the range a couple times this week, and I thought I was going to be ok.... I was wrong!
On the way home I stopped at my local eatery, I eat there probably a couple times a week, so they are nice to me. One of the greeters/hostesses who always smiles and says hi was there. While I was waiting for my food, she came over and sat at my table. She had just gone off the clock, and she sat and talked for probably ten minutes. She told me a lot about her day... she was tired because she'd had nightmares last night, but then she got a $100 tip today! She usually doesn't get tips, she doesn't wait tables. Her xbf works in the kitchen, she even told me about their breakup! She said that she had told him what she needed (we all should be so lucky!), and that he couldn't do it. Then she said she cheated on him, so that he would break up. I told her that wasn't the right way to do it. I was starting to feel like Dad! I guess I look trustworthy, or something. I can't imagine she would tell any stanger the stuff she told me. So it is a bit puzzling! I'm guessing she's half my age, and really cute... so it was something of an ego boost! Especially considering that I got two or three hugs besides! And she was sure to tell me that she will be working all day tomorrow. I'm guessing she is a friendly person who needed someone to talk to. Maybe there is something to the Dad thing, she mentioned her mom, but I wonder if she is missing a father figure? Oh, well, ego still enjoyed it!
