Definitely not a day of nothing! I think you need to schedule one of those soon though!

Can you ever just take a whole week off with your job? I know you can't with some, but at least then maybe one of the days you'd actually get to relax!

Some of my friends just did a half-day spa with massage and relaxing stuff and they were both so happy about that. Maybe you could schedule something like that on your next day off?

I can take a whole week but not right now as they are letting go of our "back-ups" that don't work over a 100 hours a year. So the past couple of years I was able to do a whole week over the holidays but right now we have so much going on, he won't approve more than a day or two in a week. After next Friday though I still have 4.5 days.

I am going to save for another stone massage as a gift to myself. smile

D11 is sick again. She woke up with a sore throat, slightly warm and feeling as if she was going to throw up. Granted I haven't felt all that whoopie either but I keep pushing through. I gave her some Motrin and let her take a bath. Today was such a busy day here, I had to cave and ask ex if he would be able to watch her. He has the capability to work from home so as long as he doesn't have appointments, he can usually swing it.

So luckily I was able to have him watch her. I don't feel great having him in my house but that can't be helped. I thanked him for coming. He was already working when I left. D11 was laying on the coach watching tv. She still didn't want to eat when I left. Daddy did bring some 7-up so I hope she can at least stay hydrated. I hope he will stop and hold her if she wants him to.

I hope she feels better but now she can't go tonight. She was a little upset about that but told her that she didn't want to get everyone else sick. She get's that.

I am glad that he was able to help but it amazes me how it takes care of her when she is sick. He gave her chicken noodle soup for breakfast, I asked him to give her toast when she first felt hungry. Then he buys her Burger King for lunch. She said he didn't hold her or comfort her but worked the whole day. Kind of sad.

She is off to school today but I reminded her to take it easy this weekend. S17 said his dad was really depressed acting when he got home. Maybe he had issues with being in his former home most of the day. Ghosts bothering him for a change.
