Wow!! Everything said here is true in my case..we married young..I had just turned 21. My XH saw 40 coming fast and went into MLC! It has been awful.
About the woman's perspective reagarding MLC...I had mine at about 34, again I think because of to young I was when we married and had kids (22 when I had my D16). I went through the "what about me, when is it my turn, I want to feel excitment again, passion again, loved, noticed" I had an EA online with my HS boyfriend. H found out, knew forsure it was never PA because he followed us the only time we saw each other. Anyway, H said he was over it and we moved on, 3 yrs. later he started his MLC. And, just like you said he felt all the same things as above, someone at his work noticed him, told him how awesome he was, told him he deserves to be happy, made him feel like he was the most important man in the world, all while I was at home raising our kids, trying to keep my head above water! OW just swept in at the 11th hour and took all we had built for 21 years! He is still with her, but I can't see how it could last. He already cheated on her with me!! It is a mess, but I am still standing and working on me! I will be a better me no matter what happens next!

Me-40 XH-44 T-21 M-18 Div-19 mo. D-18,S-15,D-11 Bomb-7/07 EA,PA Mvd out-9/07-to give me space mvd back-12/07 mvd out-7/08 back with OW since 2/08 OW broke it off-1/10 in and out of tunnel and our life since!!
