Poor S17, the windshield wipers aren't working for some reason, so with the rain/snow today he couldn't drive today. I know he was feeling good about having the car, I am sure it felt as if a carrot was dangled in front of him.

Got mid term grades for S14...A's and B's and one C. the C is because the teacher keeps a running grade and doesn't "reset" at the quarters. So super proud of him. D10 is now 11 and Mom is feeling awfully tired. lol

D11 and D9 have identical music programs. One on Tuesday and one on Thursday. Same nights KU plays basketball!! Thank goodness for Tivo.

It is a yucky wet and dreary day. Perfect day for curling up with a book and hot tea except I am at work.

Yay! Sounds like the kids are doing pretty well overall. I sympathize with the wiper thing, need to get new blades on mine. They work, but they're so streaky it barely counts LMAO. Another storm is hitting later this week, so need to do that ASAP.

I would love to be curled up in bed with a book and hot cocoa. Too bad work doesn't cooperate!

I told my boss I was ready to crack. I needed a day off just for me, not to do something for someone else or for some legal situation. He said do you want to take tomorrow? I said really, only if you are ok with that. I have about 6.5 days to use and I am using one next Friday so I have that bit of vacation to spare.

I am trying. Just a lot of things happening at one time. I felt ran down this weekend and we each brought up vacation at our weekly meeting. His wife just took a new job so they aren't going to Tennessee like they planned for Christmas. He said it should be fine if I take a day or two everyweek or every other week(you know as that works out) so I should be good.

I was watching or rather listing to Good Morning America today as I got ready for school. They said Kansas is getting some nasty weather. Is it in your area? Be careful.

Everyone is right, you are a supermom, but also you must be super to yourself once in a while.

It is cold and rainy and just trying to stay snow in our area but so far no accumulation in Topeka. I am on my third load of laundry and working a bit on the girls room. After I got stuff started I did lay back down and slept another hour and a half!! I must have needed that huh? lol

I even fell asleep last night watching UP. I love that movie.

Yesterday was not at all like I planned. I ending up doing so much more stuff than I wanted, because really all I wanted to do was waste the day! lol

My parents call and decide they can come and mess with the car now which meant guilt kicked in and I started more cleaning. then helped a bit with the car.

Then just as I started to get settled again, my boss calls to tell me that my ham is in. So run and get that and a few more errands. Now the boys are home and there will not be any quiet for a while. As soon as girls get home, have to get them ready for D9's singing performance and D11's flute lesson.

After the performance, get home in time to watch the KU Memphis game. That was a bit nerve wracking. Only second real game of the season and no one is as good as they will be, but still! What a way to start the season.

Back to work today, so maybe there is some peace??

The sad thing is that is almost a normal day off for me. My plan was not to tell anyone but then my parents called work and my boss called me that they left a message to call them back. then the ball just rolled from there.

What I really would love is about a month off work and be paid for it. Oh and before you say I get that with my benefits(which I do) I mean a whole month off with all the days together!
