The first guy back in August, we e-mailed for about a week. He is still on there, but I haven't contacted bc I feel bad that I just up and bolted (hid my profile and everything) for about 2 months...
The one I went on a horrible date with, we emailed, IM'ed, talked and texted before the date for about 3 weeks. That was actually too long in my opinion. BC it gave us both the feeling that we knew each other more than we did. Wound up flirting via text before the date. Then it was so awkward when we went out and I was not attracted to him at all....
Marathon Guy and I have been emailing sporadically for almost 2 weeks. He asked me out after one week. But I haven't given him my phone # or IMd. We just email.
The guys probably have a better rule of thumb since they have found girlfriends out ot this process...I just know for me, I need to talk to you (email or whatever) long enough to see if we can get along that way (connection), but I want to go out before I start thinking I have a solid picture of who you are when I might be off base...
