I vote for "weeding out the bad" it seems perfect Norwegian won't take me anywhere either. I did have a change to visit northern europe but other than a few simple things in swedish - and that's because I found a boyfriend there LOL - I learned nothing. If I had the time and the money I would still be learning more languages... they fascinate me:)
