Anybody found my mojo? I am having a downer of an evening. Nothing in particular, I am at work for parent teacher conferences except mine are all Thursday night. Yet I still have to be here, so I am fiddling in my classroom.
I think I am craving human contact. Not Dan's, though...seriously.
He did the sweetest thing for Sydney. She gave him a painted gingerbread man (can't remember if I mentioned this) to take in his suitcase.
A few days ago he emailed us about 10 pictures of him all around the globe (Omaha, Vancouver, Hong Kong, Tai Pai, Shanghai), and in each photo he is holding up the gingerbread man. Sydney was beyond thrilled to see her globe-trotting artwork!
Back to the point...I tried to see my Dan in those pictures, but he wasn't there. It is almost like I am looking at his brother or his cousin. It resembles him but not quite. I am not attracted to the guy in those pictures...
I suppose the anticipation of the non-date and trading texts (the non-perverse ones!) and e-mails with MGs 1-3 was a fun diversion. Guess it is time to take a walk around the school and find a grown-up to talk to! Not as fun as flirting but it will have to do...
