It's not so much about knowing the name of each fish on the picture card but understanding the ecosystem. If you know a little about how the fish live, where they live, and what they do then you will be able to take in so much more. You will be able to be more proactive in your searches.

After a trip to AU then HA, I started reading up about reefs and got into sw reef aquariums for a while. My next trips, I was able to really get into what I saw and even anticipate where to look. It was fun to take the kids into shallow water and tell them about stuff.
