I did not bet Gio Ponti becasue he was an italian architect but rather because his connections decided to run him on the dirt (not the turf) and he (the horse) was considered to be the best american turf horse of the year. So I knew something was up...plus the synthetic surface at Santa Anita feels more like turf than dirt...there you have my handicapping secrets.....i figure if the other guys can talk about college football i can talk about the sport of kings....and excessive cuddling!
My father's method of picking which dog to bet on was to watch them walk the dogs before the race and bet on the dog that squatted. His reasoning was that the dog would be lighter.
As for cuddling, I have a Hello Kitty body pillow that XW left me. I want to upgrade to the version that scratches backs.
XW visited D8 and jsut left....She spent most of time talking about what is going on in HER life and I ..... well i pretended to listen....I guess you can take the girl out of the country..yada yada yada. I know now that there is no longer anything there...she is a friend or acquaintance....weird feeling. She did go into D8's room and I overheard her commenting on how nice NGF looks in a picture that D8 put up in her room. We had a discussion on the H1N1 vaccine that oddly enough she is against (D8 may have contarcted it). I say oddly enough because she injects other products in her body without worrying about it....i told her so....in a nice way of course. ;-) She will revisit in a few days (to bring homework for D8) as we decided to keep D8 out of school for the remainder of the week.
hey Kerry, i have no clue if she is troubled, jealous or just plain indifferent. at the end of the day it does not really matter....i did not ask, i did not look for signs...i guess i am indifferent. oddly enough i get alot of thank yous as well. not sure if it is guilt or them realizing that we were not that bad. what is the old adage, you don't know what you have till it's gone......
