The indoor stuff is intense but boring if not done properly. Here are a few things done here among the Tri people to help adapt to the great indoors.
1. Customize your workout area so it's a fun place to be. Add TV's, music, food, exercise mats, reading stands, whatever. I've seen some pretty custom setups.
2. The more the merrier. Meet up with friends for training events. One of the local bike stores has indoor group rides every Saturday morning during the winter. Show up with your bike and trainer and ride along. You never get left behind. The Tri club also holds regular swims, runs at the indoor track, and group rides. Our largest group rides on New Years day bring in over 150 people. We have food, coaches, and a live DJ. Cool huh?
