I've suddenly found it remarkably simple to not only remove the ring, but to contact a divorce attorney and launch into ending the marriage myself.

Sorry to hear that crossroads. Like others have said though, it may be the best thing to happen to you. I know people have said my WAW is doing me a favor, I will see this later when I meet someone better. Regardless though, I still love my W, but theres nothing I can do but to move on in my life. I took the ring off tonight, it felt weird, like my hand was naked :P I plan on giving the ring to her when the D papers are signed.
