Ahh, the joys of online dating. It is proving to be a road with lots of potholes in it for me as well - but interesting nonetheless isn't it?

Do most the guys you have blocked have no picture?

Maybe you are getting a bunch of creeps responding because you have "separated" for status. That might give some guys the impression that you are easy because you are emotionally vulnerable.

I have not blocked any women. If they send an email, I will always politely reply with a decline and a thank you. I dont respond to winks. I can understand a lady blocking because some guys give the creep factor too much.

Funny that the 3 that I still keep in contact with were all ones to contact me first. Biomedical lady is still having fun in Spain. Lawyer girl has not emailed for a week and I have given up trying to contact her on the phone. But I have done that before and she will subsequently get back in contact. The 3rd lady is very busy with college (nursing) and we have agreed to meet when our schedules will make that possible.

The "winks" I usually get are from women 20 years younger than me and live 4 or 5 states away.

I do the same thing Kerry does regarding emails, whether I am interested or not, I send back a reply. I figure if someone takes the time to write me an email then they deserve a response.

I am fortunate right now to be communicating with a very nice woman who lives not too far from me. I have made a note to myself to NOT text her asking if she is horny as I have learned rather recently from BBJ that this tends to turn women off laugh wink

I've gotten those in the past. They are apparent scammers.

Yeah, good to know to not text a woman in the morning asking if they are horny. That is right up there with telling them that what they are wearing makes them look fat.

I've found that the accounts of those winkers are often gone before I even get online.

So, our working theory is that "separated" women are easy, and hence contacted by lots of men, "separated" men are creepy playas, and are hence almost never contacted by any women!

((((((BobbiJo)))))

I have also taken the note, no morning are you horny texts!

What!?? they don't like it when you say that either?? - damn this board is educational grin I suppose telling them they're more "mature" than what they look in their pictures is a bad thing too! laugh

I have done the "more mature than you look" gaff before.

Also, dont ever ask a woman when the baby is due. She might not be pregnant.

Yeah room for everyone, but I don't want them all in my bed! grin

You know maybe I am vulnerable as a separated woman, but hitting me up for sex info isn't going to make me crumble!

If I a guy was smart, he would tell me how cute my pictures are (cute is not as aggressive as 'hot' or 'sexy' smile ).

Then he would say something about how he spends time with his kids, or how he likes kids, etc.

Then tell me about some work he was recently doing. This girl likes a guy who can get his hands dirty (farming, yardwork, building something, any manual labor will do!). Or tell me about his recent volunteer work...

And maybe some reference of how much he enjoyed "The Notebook".

Oh wait, I live in reality!!!
