I end up paying everything else and I cannot do that again because I do not have the money so if he will not pay I will have to take legal action and my L said she does not recommend legal separation because in IN it is just like a divorce, costs just as much, and if decide to divorce have to pay it again.
That’s how it is here in CA too. I had talked to a L last spring b/c I thought a legal separation would be the answer for me (since I’m so against D), but she said too that it’s the same process as a D, so the same cost, the same custody and money battles, so it didn’t seem worth it. So instead I‘m going to fight until I can fight no more, (which will probably come down to a money issue for me too). H has never offered to help money wise with our S and he even threatened that if I asked for child support in D, he would then ask for spousal support (I make just slightly more then him). L said that was ridiculous, that there was no way he would ever get spousal support and that of course he would be required to pay some child support. I’m glad L straighten that out b/c he’s sure a good manipulator!
So you say H is going out with OW to the game this weekend. How do you know this? Does he just straight up tell you – “I’m going out with OW this weekend”?
