Hi Pam and Zoo,

(what's with the 46 posts to check, Pam....yeesh! Dinner/lunch is only minutes away!)

Well Pam, looks like I AM a tough teacher...all THREE of my classes had averages in the 50's on my midterms!!

I made an error an all the keys and some of the items were apparently just too tricky so everyone's getting a small bump. 2-3%

So work today was STRESSFULLL!!!

Students who missed the test calling, helping my T.A.'s to make sense of the computer printouts, going over my item analyses to see where I may have gone wrong....

No time for lunch ...feet are SORE!!

On the up side...I caught myself spinning into a state of pure negativity when I got home...could feel CJ being dragged there too...and just decided to relax, all of these things work out...I've had similar problems before...

In other words, I thwarted what could have been a NASTY few hours. Sure all of those concerns are still there but WHAT benefit is it to anyone if I WORRY about it and come off all irritated and scowling???

Good God...THIS is the Shiny that CJ grew apart from!! ...Talk about not being fun to live with!

Shiny

Oh, Zoo, CJ HAS taught a few college courses in the past, his main career was in high level management, he is now a student in an on-line Masters program in e-based learning.

How to design, custom fit, deliver and test the efficacy of web-based post-secondary courses, as well as broader applications. His applied project (Thesis) is designing a series of learning modules for people with disabilities on "Incubating their own business"...all the what's and wherefores.

I just commented to CJ (who is cooking dinner! ) that I know more about what he's doing now than I ever did when he was at his old job.

He said "That's cause even I didn't know what I was doing there!" ...His boss had him changing directions with the speed of light and more for publicity and political gain than serving their users.

I think this has grown into a mammoth post, so I'd better send it off.

Hi Shiny,

Hope dinner is good!

I figure time you get back will be more than 46 posts!

Bad afternoon and lots of support and advice for me.

Close to ending it.

Last person to post last night and first one this morning!

This is great! You always seem to be so good at nipping things in the bud before the escalate...I envy you I hope with time and patience (oops...those words again lol) I get better at it then I currently am

Now this is something I would be interested in reading! As a person with a disability who is very frustrated by not working my mind is constantly trying to figure out some sort of business I could start here at home. While my art provides me with a little bit of spending money once in awhile it isn't consistent.

I love to cook, can, bake, etc and thought of maybe trying something along these lines. My research indicated this not to be very viable either since I live where there is a HUGE Amish community and they basically have this type of market cornered around here. You also have health code restrictions, inspections etc ...ugh.

It sucks because I WANT to work and I want more of an income

Oy,
Zoo

Hello Pam and Zoo!

Busy day here...up before noon!!! Worked on my Christmas exam for one class, prepped my lectures, went over the abismal performances on the midterm...(mostly their fault, I must say).

Then I did a 75 mintue work out (oh the joy of energy!!) got ready and headed to SIL's for pre-show hair cut.

Is it goofy to be all excited? I even test ran my make-up tonight (have to do it after the colouring at the competition) and it was 12 minutes for glam eyes, and another ten for the rest. Not bad...could probably do the eyes while the colour is setting.

Had a lovely dinner tonight courtesy of my Thanksgiving spaghetti sauce and meatballs...grilled red peppers of course...and YES a nondescript Merlot.

Hope tomorrow is an easier work day than yesterday...yeesh!

And no, Pam. even the substitute doctor was all booked up by the time CJ got through (I had to leave for work...he got through at about 9:02 ).

Gonna try again tomorrow.

Later!

Shiny

Simply put Shiny, I'd say you've found the formula to living your life to the fullest!

I salute you with the greatest of admiration. It so nice to see you, Lostlove, and Sage reaping all you deserve.

Life is good!

'til later,
KAW
