Hi All,

Still feeling rather bb lazy...everyone who checks here knows my story, so I won't copy it over...any newcomers, just look at the top of my last thread "Getting Closer!".


Why this title?

Just came to me, spurred by a dream of CJ's and some follow-through.

On Thursday during dinner, CJ shared that he'd had a dream in which my Sis and BIL were here coming up with decorating ideas (my Sis IS really good at this)...she touched a paint sample to the wall behind our entertainment stuff (TV stereo etc) and the whole thing turned a deep red!

Then the ratty carpet disappeared and a hardwood floor with a central rug took its place.

I told CJ I LIKED it! and we should do it...He said "what about this weekend?"

Sure!!!

Now this may not seem like much folks, but there are a couple of layers involved:

1) Aside from the office I'm in right now (which is very nice, CJ fixed it up 2 or 3 years ago), we have only replaced some wall paper and painted the bathroom & bedroom in our 10 years here. All of the latter was done in year one .

So I am THRILLED that this painting actually got done...no nothing with the floor, I'm still basking in this baby step. BTW, it looks fabulous!

Thing is, CJ hasn't shown much interest in this house for a very long time. I thought at the time it was laziness, then the past year it rather sunk in: why would he want to expend energy and money on a place he couldn't stand being and wanted to escape???

So to me, this rather minor "home improvement" is a big deal.

2) I have had a series of about 30 dreams in which I am "reduced" to living in a shabby apartment...only to at some point "remember" THIS house and long for it.

"This house" in those dreams really symbolizes a healthy, safe, happy, prosperous self and Marriage. So when I say "Home Improvements" in my title, I'm speaking on that level too.
