I have been without a tub for close to a year - I saw a leak behind the handle. My BIL was visiting, so he came over to look at it. He took it off, put on some of that tape stuff, then put it back on. Too tight. The inner thread pieces were all white plastic, and the stupid thing snapped right off. I have to bring the part back to Home Depot and get a replacement ordered - not a priority, so there it sits. We use the shower in my bathroom.
Wish I had called someone! I've decided that is what alimony is for...
