She has worn her wedding band every day. Not her engagement ring, but her band. She even said she did this out of respect for me.
Has she said that since you've taken yours off? If so, she's not telling you she does it out of respect for you, it may be her way of letting you know she feels disrespected about you taking yours off.

No, Gardener, I think you are correct. Appearances are VERY big to her.
And, yes, she said the bit about wearing her ring out od respect for me last night, in the context of telling me its disrespectful for me to take mine off.
