So... guess who got a job?! This girl!!! Its only part time, but Ill be weekend manager of the biggest retail liquor sales company on the Kenai Peninsula. Ill be taking back on everything I did before, except for the actual working on the sales floor. Which is good because one of the issues that I had before I left was that it was heartbreaking to be selling basically poison to addicts, about 3 or 4 of my customers would die every year.
Apparently he hasnt found someone who could do it all like I did! He had my regular weekly work-load split up between several different people. It brings me some validation to know that.
I think that the compensation is fair, I will start getting my store allowance back, 66.50 every 2 weeks to spend in the store, and I really dont drink very much, so I end up with a very well stocked liquor cabinet!
This is really, really good news, I think that I will go to any interviews that I get from the applications that I have already turned in, if I find a better deal, I sort of have to take it. And its realistic that I could do another part time job. I could maybe even save some $$$ before I get my papers done!
One of the things that I will have to work through is that I had a lot of animosity for this guy, like I said, I felt really underappreciated. Originally I was just trying to change my schedule, and admittedly, I would lose a lot of the vital things that I did, but after 4 years, he wanted to pay me minimum wage! I have never worked for minimum wage! He said that he couldnt afford to pay me more than that... then he hired some guy at $4 an hour more than he was paying me! And then they fired him because he couldnt do the job! So I will have to be careful to not bristle at the sexist manner he has. Hopefully he can be a little more respectful than he was before.
I have been praying and working really hard for something like this, so YAY!
I guess I gave the wrong finger to the wrong man...
