John, as far as a gender thing....possibly. I'll say it since none of the other women was willing to admit it.....women are vengeful. Payback, whether we initiate it or not, is almost always viewed with relish. Personally, I loved it when I heard about my xh ow being written up at work for getting 'entangled' with a married officer on her dispatch and for 'excessive texting' while at work. I also enjoyed that my xh was stripped of a lot of his pridefulness for the same reasons by his department. Of course he later lost his career because of further actions he took while completely distracted by his R with ow so that ended up hurting me further in the end. Karma, karma, karma.........
