Yeah lol. I hear that. He's so non-confrontational it's ridiculous. And he wonders why people don't understand when he finally blows up about stuff. Ah well, as Jeff said, not my drama.

I am taking part of tomorrow off from my day job to do D paperwork, then working my retail job. Also work a full shift on Saturday. Don't know about after that since they can't be bothered to post the schedule for next week. *rolls eyes*

Yeah, I know what you mean about the scheduling. The supermarket doesn't post the schedule until Wednesday after 6pm for the week starting that Saturday. Yes, that is less than 3 days notice. There is no way to plan to have a life of any kind with that kind of scheduling.

They used to post the schedule the Thursday before - as in 9 days before. Then it was more like Friday or Saturday. Over the summer it was getting to Sunday. Last pay period it went up Tuesday afternoon. Now it's Thursday, almost afternoon, and it ain't up.

I'm tempted to print it out and then when they call me Sunday asking where I am just be like, I'm not scheduled. When they say yes you are, I'll be like, the one I printed out says I'm off!

So you can access the schedule without having to go in to the store?

Yeah, they don't post it in the store at all actually (well, actually they post one for day after thanksgiving, but that's special cuz they schedule all our breaks and our lunches for us cuz otherwise we'd never be able to leave the registers).

They post it on their web portal. It's a big corporation after all, so they're big on internet and not wasting paper. Which really means not wasting their paper since I print out at least one copy a week (to copy to my planner and post on my door so my roommate can check my work schedule, plus sometimes I print a copy for RB).

But anyways, I can access it from any computer with my login. And it ain't up. Unless I'm really not scheduled to work at all next week. Which frankly, I wouldn't complain about!

That is awesome! I have to go in to the store to get mine. I can't even call and ask. It sucks.

I had to call out last night and I'm going to have to do it again tonight as well as missing a half day yesterday and my full-time job plus all day today. It's looking like all day tomorrow too. I have no idea how I'm going to make rent.

Yeah, money is nice, but time is worth so much more!

It kinda sucks though. Since they know we can access it from anyplace with internet, they expect us to check it all the time.

They'll change the schedule and not call to tell you until you're late/missing. It's like they're surprised you don't check it every day. Which I just hate, cuz once I print out the week's schedule, I do not compulsively check it.

That does suck! Once they make the schedule they should have to call you specifically to change yours. Do they have a written policy about scheduling?
