I find out today in half hour. I didn't get call or email from X today, so expect she's in school. She better be!!! I dont' know if it is the flu. D9 told me one morning last week at her dad's she threw up also. And then yesterday. I am so glad didn't happen at my place, b/c you know X would have used that against me in court!!! But I wonder what's going on with her...Do you think I should take her to the dr. or wait and see if it happens a 3rd time? Maybe just sick germs everyone's got lately, I don't know.

It could also be from stress. I had that happen to me. One time it lasted from November until the following April. I was throwing up at least once a week. The Dr's couldn't find anything physically wrong with me but once I left my stressful job, it only happened twice.

So you might want to watch the situation and then get it checked out if it doesn't appear to be a bug.

Agreed, S11 had a "2 month bout with stomache flu" as the mediation date got closer and cloer.

It's sad to think of what the D is doing to our poor kids! Hopefully, things will get less stressful after the D I hope.

Well, so I went to D9's school yesterday. Her one teacher was in a meeting, but I talked to her Math/Science teacher. The projects X kept the info on were supposed to be monthly projects. I never got the info on the science project and D9 told me they worked on it Sunday and Monday night (it was due this Tuesday). And the only reason I think that happened is b/c I emailed X Sun. night after dropping off the kids and told him we spent all weekend on the book report and he was going to have to do the science project with her due Tues. (plus I hadn't been given the info to do it anyway even if we had the time).

And the teacher tells me she's been sending home incomplete math sheets (from their in-class time) that D9 needs to finish (b/c she takes longer to write than other kids), and X has sent none of them back, so D9 has a 53-F on her math homework grade!

She said she was so glad I emailed her, b/c she was wondering what to do about that, and she didn't know I wasn't getting them at all. He's been getting her grades each week too (a spreadsheet it looked like) and never questioned the teacher about the 53??? I was so po'd at him; b/c I think part of the problem is he spends so much time grilling the kids and focusing on my parenting, he doesn't do his own share!!!

So the teacher though is going to give me it today to start working on and says D9 can do every other problem, probably a lot to catch up on. And her homeroom teacher said she will start giving me a copy of the info that gets sent home to X. So hopefully everything will be ok the rest of the year.

There ya go Karen.

It would of been nice to have all that in writing from them. My L's eyes lit up whe I showed him the correspondance I had from the school that demontstrated X's lack of concern for their schooling.

Unfortunately, it doesn't get any better after the D. At least, not right away from my standpoint. For me, the cries of not wanting to have to go to the mediations and custody hearings, have turned in to they wish they had.

OK. Just got an email from X. It says: A good friend of mine knows the lady who owns the (gas station) right near your house and she needs help at the store. Do you want me to get the owners contact info?

Even if I were interested at working at a gas station/store (which I wouldn't b/c of safety, and I know they often have evening hours which would make it tough to have custody of the kids) my thoughts are I don't have the time right now, b/c I'm doing stuff for the morning out program: going to observe one in nearby county on Monday, taking CPR (have to finish in 10 days), need to hire one more teacher, and the pastor wants to start immediately.

The school I just interviewed at and told me to reapply had openings last week (they had said they were Prek) with today as closing date, so I'm hoping they'll call for interview as well. Plus, What the heck business is it of his? I probably could get a job like that on my own in a few months if need be, "good friend of mine" is probably OW sick I'm guessing he just wants to get proof that I wasn't up for a job or something? So should I reply, any reply, or what do you think? Plus, I realize he's talking to his friends about my unemployed situation--what the heck??? mad

BLECH!! I would love for you to not respond but it looks as if he is looking for ammo to use against you with the D. Maybe just let him know that you are exploring positions in your field of study but thanks for thinking of me.

What a jerk. So did you definetly not get the other job that you interviewed for?

Yep, he is. Yep, I didn't think I would. They had said you had to do heavy lifting of the kids (some in wheelchairs) during pool time and etc. and that job was kids 16-22 years old (they have kids 1-22 at the school).

I figured out after the interview 22 year olds would be a full-grown adult, 150-200 pounds I would think, and I wouldn't be able to lift someone that size. So prek would be much, much better, and more in line with my background too. So cross your fingers and your toes they call me next week!

I just got an email from D9's teacher. She's super sweet. She said X could come in at 10, and that I could come in after lunch to pick up her homework, and touch base then as we already had a formal conference a month ago or so.

So I emailed X re: the conference. I also just realized I haven't gotten any info on parent-teacher conference for S15. Do they have those also in high school? His planning day is tomorrow also. In my email to X, I asked him if he had gotten any info re: a conference for S15.

BTW, Dday, I have been very careful to omit anything re: our divorce or whatever, just very polite and professional in emails and in person with the teachers as you advise. When the teacher told me that yesterday, I just said well he's a busy L, and I'm a sahm. I'm sure the teachers hate to get involved with divorcing parents!!!

That job thing really bugs me. You can bet he is getting more ammo. I like Kat's reply because it shows you are looking for a job that you SHOULD be able to get, but due to being out of the workforce because of taking care of your kids (which he and you agreed to while married) it isn't going to be quick. In fact, maybe something like this:

I'm exploring my field of study and working on getting a job based upon my background/education, but due to being out of the workforce taking care of our kids, it is going to take awhile. I'll always remember how we knew that was the best thing for the kids, and I'll never regret it. It's too bad the divorce has to change what we always thought was the best interest of our children. Thanks, anyway, though.

My take on the reason he didn't let you know about your kids' grades is because it is just going to show that homeschooling might be a better place for them, and he doesn't want that.
