Went to S14's football game tonight, it was a bit of a mismatch. They were ahead 53-0 at halftime, which also turned out to be the final score. He got to play most of the second half, and actually got to run the ball once. No gain, but he was happy! On a later play, a teammate fumbled, and one of the opposition picked the ball up and headed for the end zone. S14 was the last person with a chance at him, and just when I was sure there was no way he could get him, he dove, and managed to grab just enough of his ankle to throw him off balance and bring him down! He saved the shutout! So, he was pretty happy about that!

Not much else happening around here. It looks like November 30 is the first possible day to let the judge sign off, so that clock is ticking.

And it's supposed to get up to 97 tomorrow. That's hot!

Is it not supposed to be getting colder at this time of year?

Sounds like a proud dad moment, what a champ!

It is getting colder! Lows around 50 (10C), highs around 87 (31C).

OK, so that doesn't sound colder, but really, it is!

Lol! I guess it is all relative. I have been stuffing the cracks in the window frames at work with newspaper (they are really old and it is a listed building so can't be replaced!) because of the Arctic draft that hits me while I work.

Lol. Yeah, we hit 80s over the weekend. It's gotten into the 40s at night a little though. Brrr.

Hard to believe it was 102 here just two and a half weeks ago!

The nights really are cooling off, though we just had a warmer spell. I really like the weather here this time of year! "They" do say we should have a wetter than "normal" winter this year. I hope so, since summer was bone dry!

I had to actually use deicer on my windows this morning in order to drive Marc to school for a study group. My defroster wasn't working fast enough. It wasn't actual ice, but enough thick frost to turn all the grass white and the roofs too.

Julia, what do you mean it's a listed building? As in historical register type building? Can't they at least caulk the cracks in the windows so you don't all freeze to death? smile

Yep a listed building . I've tried, they might install secondary glazing but they aren't allowed to change the windows. They look good, just blow a gale! smile handy!

S14 became S15 yesterday. There was supposed to be celebration at tbxw's house, but he has been under the weather this week, so it was postponed. He was planning to go to school today, but not to his football game tonight. I was able to change plans and see the woman I have been dating for the past month or so, so that was good.

On the way home I picked up S11 and a piece of chocolate torte from their house. He stays at my house the days before she works so that he can take the bus to school. I helped him with some math that he wasn't understanding, he sometimes overthinks things! He was having a test today, I wish I had had another day or two to help him. He can do it, I just don't know that it had totally stuck yet.

The "Application for Default" should have been files Tuesday. It doesn't really do anything other than check off another box in the process. But that means it's only another 40 days until the D is final, barring surprises.

Carpeting finally got into the kids house yesterday, now the closets can get done, and the rest of tbx's things that are in the closet and on the wall can go.

S11 and tbx will be going to Phoenix for a soccer tournament this weekend, S21 is doing four days of Marine Reserves drill (left this morning), I'll have S15 at the house. I might try to talk him into going to see Arizona play UCLA. We went to the game against Stanford last Saturday. It was a great game, unless you are a fan of defense! 43-38, and over 1100 yards of offense between the two teams. The poor Stanford QB threw for 423 (I think) yards, and lost!

It's beautiful outside, I'm waiting fot IT to fix a computer so I can work, and I want to go home!

I think that's about it!
