Women ALWAYS hear a sincere compliment from a man, even if they are too busy to think about it at the time,.....your W will probably remember it later and smile.......especially if it comes from a great-smelling guy with a nice close shave! wink (You're making me miss my H.) Really.........I LOVE reading posts from you men. I had NO idea that having a nice clean shave would make a man feel good. smile Clearly my education is incomplete.

Ditto what Gardener said above!!

One of the things I have done for myself is to ditch my old cartridge razor and learn how to shave with a double edge razor - think old timey razor like our grandfathers used. Really cool, but gives a superior close shave. The different soaps smell good too.

I actually look forward to my morning shave now. I plug in my iPod and play some classical music while I shave.

Just a little thing, but it's pretty cool. Oh, and it is MUCH cheaper than buying those ridiculously expensive cartridges.

Thanks for the education. Again, I had no idea that a man would enjoy this.

A nice, close shave really IS inviting to women (I don't think I'm alone in this). Stubble can be really irritating to a woman's face.....and distracting at those frisky times because it actually hurts!

My sister often remarks that she doesn't know how men can maintain that 24-36 hr shadow look that is so stylish (think Bret Favre). We've wondered if they use dog trimmers to keep it at that length????

Can't help you there. I am not a facial hair guy.

I know you don't feel "close" but my gosh, compared to me and my H you are! You are also getting closer to getting close! So like all who support you here say - you are making slow and steady progress. And in six months, if I am as close to close as you two are, I'll be safisfied smile

Thanks Hope.

I know I am fortunate. And I am thankful for what I have. No matter what happens, I like me for the first time in a long while.

Buddy, I feel the same way. Ain't it good? Don't know where or what my life will be a year from now. Am a bit afraid, honestly, But I feel good and like who I am, again (I remember this guy). Haven't completely accepted the "no matter what happens part", yet because I know what I want to happen.
It's really just not going to in my sitch, though. She's gone with a capital G.

Yeah, I know what I want to happen as well. I just don't hinge my future on it. So, you may be there as well. I don't think it's about letting go of hope.

Busy day. We are hosting a cocktail party (club soda and a lime fo' me) for our the parents and teacher of our S's class. So, that means LOTS of cleaning. I did most of the cleaning after I did the yardwork. Now, to work on me. Gonna hop in the shower in a sec and get looking nice.

Overall a good day so far. I pulled back a little and she has initiated some conversation.

Well, the cocktail party went well. We had not met any of the poeple coming before, so W and I floated seperately. Was fun.

I bragged on my W, w/i earshot of her. Someone asked who made teh cupcakes. I said W did and she is great at baking. She decorates very well too. Talked about her cake decorating class and how well she was doing at it.

Later, after the guests left, she mentioned that she heard me talking about her and the cake thing, but that is all she heard. I repeated for her the compliments I said to the guests, and she said well, I heard you and I thought, Oh,Lord, what is he saying now (in a humorous tone).

W is chatty tonight, initiating conversation.

She really looked great tonight. Really.
