I turned the bunk beads into the fort part, with extra boards screwed in all over and a camo curtain for the bottom bunk. I panked plank walls from the floor to about 3' high one the walls, the rest was sky blue. I made a paper mache' tree comming up and tied it into the wood beam that crossed their ceiling and then drilled holes into it and stuffed silk leaves and stems into it. Then I painted leaves all around the tree, and painted some glow in the dark constellations.
I got old wooden crates for their shelves and finally I made a hanging shelf with rope for the reptile tank.
That was shortly after I kicked mom out, so there was some compensation going on there. But it was fun.
