So, turned out to be an interesting night. We had some crazy storm that was the remnants of a typhoon. Talk about wind and rain! The network was cutting out a little at work yesterday and by the time I left the wind had picked back up. My train was TWENTY FIVE minutes late. I was soaked by the time it came. There were power outages and debris on the tracks. So making it to dinner took nearly an hour and a half instead of 50 minutes. I got a little over halfway out there on the train and we had to get off and get onto another train. They turned the one we were on around and headed back into downtown. Luckily the one behind us was only about 7 minutes behind us, but my jeans were already wet and it was cold and still drizzling rain.
Once I got to my stop though, RB picked me up and blasted the heater on me the whole 5 minutes over to the restaurant. We went to http://www.chicagofirerestaurant.com/ in Folsom. My friend is dating the bartender, so we took over the bar area and ordered pizza and alcohol. It was good food, great company, and tons of fun. RB surprised me by getting a bunch of my friends out. I have no idea how he got in touch with some of them lol. Facebook I imagine.
He also got me a huge singing card that everyone signed and flowers (pics are up on facebook - the quality is iffy since it was a camera phone lol). It was fantastic to see everyone.
And it's POURING rain right now. Wow.

Sounds great! FB can be great for stuff like that. Smart guy.

Strangely....maybe. I put an offer on one last night! EEEEEK! It's a short sale though (pre-foreclosure) so I won't hear back from the bank for a while. Gotta keep my eyes open for anything else.
RB ended up being very helpful. He took some classes dealing with construction and repairs in college as part of his degree and he was able to give me some interesting tidbits about the age of the roof (fairly new) and what kind of repairs and remodels they had done to the house. It was great info to have.

We had rain and the temp dropped here too... Didnt wear stockings today and my...beaver froze to death (which is not much different than it's standard state - LOL!!!)
I am in love with him on the days where I remind myself not to let my stupid STBXH tarnish my hope for the future lol. Some days I am more shut down, just because of what has happened, and I don't feel it as strongly. Other days, I have no doubts. All part of the roller coaster I suppose.

You'll get there Michelle, I think one cannot help but be a bit tarnished for the experiences we have had but we've learnt an awful lot along the way and the relationship you have with RB will be *very* different to that with STBXH.
