God has blessed me in more ways than I can recount in my lifetime. Just finding everyone here has been a blessing!

Okay, now I really need to get off of here and do my project. Really!

My school project went well. It was informative, and we even managed to get a few laughs.

I haven't been on because my dear sis Strong Marvelous Woman, her M and her M's friend came for a visit. We had so much fun. It was go, go, go the whole weekend, but we had a fabulous time. Of course, we didn't get to bed before 1 am the whole time they were here.

H came over tonight, because he needed to move his truck into the other bay in the garage for me. I'd emailed him and told him I had a cold and asked him to pick me up some soup on his way here. He picked up 2 kinds of chicken soup, soup crackers, and some Dayquil in case I didn't have any. I told him he was very sweet. I did have some medicine already, but it was so nice that he did that.

I gave him a couple gifts I bought for him over the weekend. SMW, Mom & friend had gone on the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls and I found him a nice coffee mug. Its large and has inlaid gravel spelling out Maid of the Mist on the side. I also bought him some Nunda mustard that I bought at one of the wineries we visited on Saturday.

He really liked the mug and remarked on our good memories of riding the boat. (For those that don't know - The Maid of the Myst is a boat ride that you can take in which you are taken up to the base of Niagara's horseshoe falls.) The mustard made him really smile because he loves mustard on pretzels.

I haven't been on to post, so I also have to share that a friend has taken up residence with me. My friend wants privacy so I won't divulge all the details here. Just picture someone screaming and throwing things at walls, cussing on a pretty regular basis.

Anyhow, while my H was here he asked about my friend and said if there was anything he could do for her to let him know. I was really touched. We talked a little more about the particulars and that it was the definition of a controlling, abusive relationship.

After a little pause, he asked if I related any of it to us. (Back history - 2003 MC labelled my H verbally abusive. Long story.) I looked at him and told him that it shows me that what we really had then was communication problems, not abuse. Sure, we had times of getting angry and not talking to one another that weren't kosher, but nothing on the scale of what my friend is going through. He had a soft look on his face after that. I don't know how to explain it.

I had a nice hug and a kiss on the cheek (didn't want to give him my cold) before he left. We made plans to go to see Where the Wild Things Are on Saturday. It is playing at the iMax theater and I can hardly wait. It is based on one of my favorite children's books of all time.

Right now the cold has me wishing I could curl up in a ball, so that's the end of the update. The only thing I can add is I have hundreds of pages of reading to do for school!!!!!!

BTW - if you *really* want to bust that cold, get (or make) some Chinese Hot and Sour soup, and get it as hot and sour as you can stand it. You'll be breathing clear in no time!

The traditional base is pork, but you can start with a chicken base, too.

Thanks Dia. I spent most of the day just sleeping. Its been a while since I had a cold like this. And I still need to get to that reading, but not tonight.

Thats awesome. I hope it goes well for you and that yall have a good time together. Just takes some patience. Every now and then it looks like he shows little glimpses of coming to his senses. As Bob from rejoice ministries says, there will probably be many false starts to home before the real thing happens. Keep praying for him. I am also praying for you and him.

Thanks, guys. I really feel like a Mac truck hit me. I haven't had a serious cold in several years. It doesn't help that it is hitting on my "crazy" week.

Had a couple of sad moments today. Most likely hormonal. Blahhh! Just wish I could hear his voice sometimes. But I do pretty good not calling if he doesn't call. At least I know what it is when the emotions hit and I have learned to kind of talk myself through it.

I think I'll just go back to the lounge chair that I've been in for two days now and veg. I even missed my class tonight because there was no way I could drive there and back with the way I feel.

Thank you for your warm support over on my thread. It meant a lot to me. I took your advice, had a really big cry, and I do feel a little better today.

Sorry to hear about your cold. I hate it when I have a cold and can't sleep because I keep having to turn over because the nasal congestion keeps draining down into the other nostil!!

How did the movie go with you and your H? Did the weekend go well for you? Are you getting over the cold?
