Yep - I have been there too. At one time I would have thought it was a good idea for her to read some of the stuff on this forum and in the books I have read. I spent many months trying to get her to 'wake up' and 'see the light' but it just doesn't work. They don't want to believe you or anyone else who is saying something that doesn't support their intended path.
The stuff she knew about (the books) just pissed her off and she would get real sarcastic: "Why don't you just go read one of your BOOKS and figure it out..." The last thing she needs is more ammunition to be irritated at the LBS.
Looking back I now know I should have gone completely stealth with all of the help I was getting, whether it was from books, this forum, etc.
