OK. After having minimal contact with my wife since Monday, I get a phone call from her this morning. She was headed across state to her Grandma's for her 80th bday and it was the first time going over there since her Grandpa died last October.
She was crying and saying she couldn't do it. I reassured her that she would be fine once she got there. She thanked me for listening and calming her down. I told her she was strong and would be OK. She thanked me for being such a good friend.
My Mom overheard her telling someone at S12's football game today that our situation was "amicable".
I seem to notice that her interest in me cycles. Some days she shows interest and contacts me then she will go a number of days with minimal contact and the contact is cold and distant. Her drinking has picked up considerably.
This is probably a stupid question. Is this normal?
