If it's not too late I'd dangle a reaaaalllllly juicy carrot and see what happens. My niece is dying for a cellphone. She hates school. If she gets two marking periods of honors she'll get the phone. If the grades go down afterwards, she loses the phone. That eighth grade girl has never been more motivated!
