Marc took a good step in the right direction last night. I'm praying he can get this accomplished!

Marc as been a brown/black belt in karate for 1.5 years now. His studio only tests for black belt 2 times per year. The myriad of tests he has to pass boggle my mind, but he's been working toward this 4 years now. He has trouble with the 10 minute drill and the mile run more than anything else.

Last night he passed his mile run for the first of two required times. Has to run a mile in under 10 minutes. He did it in 8:43. If he could have done it under 8 then he would only have had to do it once, but now he has to do it again.

The 10 minute drill is hell itself! 100 push ups,100 sit ups, and 500 balance kicks in under 10 minutes. The push ups kick Marc's butt. He has to pass that twice too.

All of that has to be done by next Saturday because that is the first pre-test and he has to have passed these things before he will be allowed into that. Oh gosh....I'm stressed for him!

I already told him that if he doesn't pass this time that he won't be able to get his black belt because I can't afford another year of karate. $115 a month is A LOT of money when you're scraping to keep the lights on.

Pray for him please! He needs all the help he can get!
