You know your daughter can be taught to sleep without you. Probably not what you want to hear. When my second child was having surgery, my baby was only a few months old. Sleeping arrangements were akward to say the least. I ended up taking a blanket and wearing it next to me for a few hours before we went to sleep. Then I put it next to her where she could then smell me on it. She slept really well and nearly the whole night which was great since she was sleeping in a strange "bed".
It doesn't hurt to try.
