Yes that is definitely a step in the right direction. In fact, I would take it a step further. Before your D leaves with your H, dress up, put on your best perfume and makeup and act as if you were going out to have the time of your life even if you weren't.

Go out and do something for yourself that doesn't require money. When I was S from my W, I would just hang out at a bookstore or go out for a walk with my ipod loaded with podcasts. Anything to keep my mind busy and off the sitch. I even got some of those meditation CDs to help me get centered. Don't need anyone else to do that but yourself.
