Hello from me, Julia! Tonight I went to see the physio and it made me think of you. She's English and is in the process of becoming an Aussie. Thought I'd pop by and see how you're doing.............
My Mum and Dad took me out on Saturday and my Dad bought me a rucksack for my travels which was very lovely of him then I met the gorgeous Lisa in the evening and we went for a night out which was very enjoyable. Good music, quite a bit of wine and lots of laughs. Then on Sunday my sister came over to see my new pad.
It is rainy here at the moment and starting to be dark again, feels like hibernation is on it's way. I can't wait to escape to sunshine again soon
I don't blame you. I could't live in a constantly dreary climate. I think that the weather is why the darned suicide rate in Seattle is so high! Weird!
Very sweet of your dad to get you a new backpack.
Tell Lisa we miss her! I haven't seen a post from her in a LONG time! Either I'm missing them or she's not around. Her input is always welcome.
Do you have any oh so fabulous plans for this week?

Hey Julia, glad you are doing ok and lucky you for hanging out with Lisa! Say hi to her for me, I guess she felt she needed/wanted to stop posting. Got to stop sometime hey! Hope she is well and happy. Al xx
Well, gotta stop posting about the sitch, but posting about all the fun stuff going on in your life is still wonderful. We have a little family going on around here and when one of the family is estranged we all feel it.

Yeah, I'm good thanks. Looking forward to the weekend! I got a half price voucher to have my hair done at a posh salon so I am doing that tomorrow.
I've had a good week. Fencing was great. I got to fence a rather handsome young man and I did quite well too. To warm up we had to hold hands and one of us had to bend down and the other had to climb over the other person so that was interesting quite an introduction Then it was the usual prodding of each other and a bit of defending too. Next week is the final week (boo!) and we are having a tournament.
Lisa and I had a fun evening last night. It was a party at this house in East London that is a boutique hotel. It was a gorgeous house, very sumptuous. Basically you had to dress up in your pyjamas and actors told you bedtime stories. It was great. It is also so novel to me to be able to go out in the evenings and have an easy and quick journey home and not have to worry about missing the last train or the last bus. London is great.
It is a little strange to be doing things totally for myself and not worrying about other people. Like spending the day having my hair done tomorrow, it seems like indulgence, but I have to say I am very much enjoying it. I think it is time I learnt to focus on me rather than another person for a while.
Jeff, Lisa says hi. We were thinking of you as Lisa was wearing particularly fluffy socks last night
