What is wrong with winter for you? Do you ski or ice skate or compete in curling or hockey? Are you not excited about the winter Olympics? I bet Canada wins a good amount of medals as is usually the case with the host country. I think Vancouver is going to make for a fabulous Olympics - first time the winter Olympics are being held at a coastal city.
I think winter would be an excellent opportunity for you and NGF to curl up together by a cozy fire every once in a while.
I'm getting my mind in Canadian mode. The kids and I are going for 4 days during Thanksgiving to the Vancouver area. I noticed that all the hotels are booked with prices about 4-5 times the norm for the winter Olympics in February. I've also started showing the kids some of the places I may take them this next summer in Alberta.
