Walking yes, I'm sure my dog would love that. Running is not an option...two knee surgeries and no cartilage. What the hell is a spin class...is that cycling?

Yes...I saw it. I'm actually enjoying my life right now. I can take a class if I want to, I can join a gym if I want to, I can anything or nothing. I'm responsible for no one but myself, my dog & my D11 when she's with me. That is a big 180 for me. I have spent more time with friends and family in the past month than I have in the past year.
But I get your point, challenge myself to try things I'm not necessarily comfortable with....I might surprise myself.

Just checking in to see how you're doing. Big weekend plans?
Looks like we'll have a full house for Sunday and Monday games. But my Seahawks play the Colts and my favorite QB Peyton. I hate to root against him but team loyalty is more important.
BF and I registered for the drawing for World Series tix today. Not that either one of us is a Rockies fan but it would be pretty damn cool to go to the WS if they make it that far (I'm not holding my breath).

Yes, time is your ally as long as you are using it to work on yourself. Don't just slack off, really work on self improvement. Have you read those books? I'm cracking the whip!
Went out to dinner with friends tonight at a bar where the Rockies game was on. People were getting all worked up. As far as I'm concerned baseball stops once football starts. Guess that's what happens when you grow up a Mariners fan. Never worry about playoffs.
Now it looks like we have five people coming over Sunday and four on Monday. I'd better get my house cleaned up!

Got the books, but haven't started them yet. Plan to over the weekend.
I'll make you a promise. I'm selling a big screen TV to my sister and when she pays me I'll spend the $$$ on myself...either new clothes, that gym membership, a class, etc.
Rockies are making it interesting...1 game back with 2 to go. Doesn't change the playoff match up, but will determine home field. I love football, but baseball is where my heart is.

Let me know what you think about the books when you're done. Yay for spending money for GAL things! I know it may seem frivolous but it will do wonders for you. I think it's hard to justify because you seem to be handling things so well already but you really do need to be good to yourself right now.
I know I'd feel differently if it were the Mariners in the playoffs but for some reason I've just never developed an attachment to the Rockies. Since BF is a Cubs fan he will only root for the Rockies if it doesn't hurt the Cubbies (well, same with me and the Giants). But both of us rank football as #1. [Speaking of the Cubbies, have I told you that I found a Cubbie bar within walking distance of our house? They have Old Style on tap, great pizza and have Italian beef on the menu which we haven't tried yet.]
My gf from college who lives down the street married a guy who doesn't like football. She claims bait and switch since when they first started dating he said he was a Raiders fan (not good but workable) and after they got married he said he didn't see the point in it. He wants to go camping, hiking, ice climbing every weekend. I may be able to get serious about a man who didn't watch football but I would not be able to live with someone who wanted me to give it up in favor of other activities.
