I did control my reaction when she told me, which was I didn't react at all. I fully expected her to leave it, since she is moving into a furnished place and doesn't need any furniture at all. I guess that's why it's so surprising. I assumed that was probably the one thing in the house that would be too much of a reminder of our love and marriage. I guess I'm releived in a way that it still means enough to her to be the one thing she wants to take with her, but damn, I wasn't expeting it! It's just screwy!
