She's leaving - AND TAKING HER HOPE CHEST???

She's planning on taking her hope chest? WHAT THE F#@$???

If there was one thing in the entire house I'd think she'd want to leave it would be the wedding pictures and her hope chest! I hand made it for her when we got engaged. It's a replica of a steemer trunk her parents had that had rotted out. I faithfully reproduced it, lined it with satin and cedar, carved hearts in the handles of the inset drawer, and used the original hardware from the first trunk to finish off hers. I worked all night with pneumonia on Christmas Eve so it would be ready for her Christmas morning 2 months after we got engaged. I poured my heart into that, and it really was a symbol of our love and hope for our future.

So she's taking her clothes, her cosmetics and personal stuff, a few pictures of her family and our son, AND THE BIGGEST PHYSICAL REPRESENTATION OF OUR MARRIED LIVES TOGETHER!!! Go figure! (I'm 99% sure the wedding potos are in there too!) Interesting to see what happens when she finds them.
