Another positive night. S had late football practice, so he and I got home a little late. Had a great work out before his practice ended.
Came home, had a quick dinner, then shower and put kids to bed.
Came back to the den and sat (again, TV off) and talked with W while we were on our laptops. Joking and light hearted conversation, mostly about the kids' day.
So, I took a step forward for me today. Before turning in for the night, I went over to W as if I was looking at the magazine she was reading and reached out to touch the fabric of her shirt (also touched her shoulder). Asked if it was silk (I knew it wasn't). She said no, its...I don't remember. She didn't flinch or pull away. Shortly after this, I told her I was hitting the hay (was about 11:30).
Here's a good part - each time I began to make my exit, she started talking to me. After the 3rd time, it was clear she didn't want me to leave the room. But I did. Not out of spite. But b/c I want her wanting more.
Felt good to take this step, albeit a little one. At least I felt like I was doing something proactive again.
