Your words on success are wise, so take them to heart. YOU are a success regardless of what happens in your M. YOU did the work, YOU fought, YOU did the right thing. That is success.

The trouble with having an open mind is that people put things in it.

Yeah you can't help it your H is so clueless right now!!!

Sorry about the interview. I did something like that once. I had an appt. with the Dept. of Transportation in my state, a big office complex downtown. I show up there a few minutes early and find out the office I'm interviewing with is in a tiny satellite office half hour away. I called the guy (I almost didn't b/c I was so embarrassed), and was 30-40 minutes late. He was super nice about it and called me a few days later, I got the job and worked there until I had D9! So Happy ending. I think if you're meant to get the job you will.

Hope you're having a good weekend! smile

I joined match.com!

I dont know what Im going to do as far as work goes! But, Im sure that something will come along. Its going to be time to renew my car insurance soon, and I need new snow tires for this winter, so I think that Im going to sell off some of H's things, old tires, and a reloading kit that my parents bought him for a birthday. Guess he shouldnt have left them here for 20 months! I think that Ill just sort of wait until the insurance expires and if I dont hear from him, Ill get my own policy. I sure hope that he pays for it though! As much as I would like to get my own policy and get farther away from him, I just cant afford to right now.

I almost dont want the job! During the interview I was thinking about how much it sort of drove home the point that I really love what Im doing, and having to stop is really going to stink. Its all because H had to go fool around! (I enjoy making things his fault, I know that hes not really exclusively to blame, but I dont care! smirk ) If I was lucky enough for them to offer it to me, I would definitely take it, and I need it, but...

I had an ok weekend, saturday was kind of lame, I just had a bad attitude I think was most of the problem. But things are better today!

Cool on the match.com. I bet there are hundreds of guys in your area--although from what you say maybe you have to do a bit more weeding? But I think can be fun. I plan to do that one or eharmony in December, and try it out. I'm hoping I can at least make some friends out of it and get in some practice on dating since it's been over 20 years!!! Feel free to share details! smile

Lol Karen, there is one guy in my town, but there are some more in the next town, and even more in the city. But thats a little far away! And yes... extensive weeding is necessary! I went with match.com because eHarmony was so expensive! But Im sure that its a really good company too. I did the personality profile and I thought that they did a pretty good job! I have no idea how to date! Its intimidating for sure.

So I found some tires on craigslist and I needed to put some $ to pay for them in my girlfriends account. The teller at the bank was a friend of H's, and I got up to her counter and she rolled eyes at me! She didnt do any of the small talk, and just generally seemed really displeased to see me. For some reason it really bugged me! It really messed with my mood, I had had a great day until that. I even thought about complaining to the bank manager. Grr.

Anyway, the tires are going to be here in a few days and I will finally be safe driving on the icy roads!

Today was the last day of my job. I was so sad walking out of there! I just wish that I had something else in place, Im worried, I guess. So I havent had a very good attitude today.

The flipside is, now I have tons of time to focus on school!

I have a presentation to do today, Ive been working on it for a few months, and I think that its perfect... but Im still a little nervous, there are going to be some experts on sea otters there, and Im afraid Ill mess up!

B, I wanted to go to Galveston, to Tx A&M, but I found out that the tuition is about 4 times what I pay now! But they have a great program, and I have worked with the director of the marine science program, and Galveston seems like such a cool place.
