Fixing your tie.

Fixing your collar.

Smoothing your lapels.

Brushing a bit of lint off you, then smoothing the fabric.

All of these are signs of affection and/or covert (and possibly unconscious) attempts to touch.

And I always thought it was because I was a slob.
