I had a good weekend. Finally had enough dry weather to get the lawn mowed. I did a lot of homework. Had dinner with the in-laws Sunday night.
Surprised to find h took another motorcycle trip. Never heard he was going or any texts while he was away to say he was safe. This has always been our one steadfast rule always. I acted like it was no big deal when he came home Sunday night. We'd finished dinner & were having coffee when he walked in.
He walked me to the car like he always does and said he'd come over Tuesday to watch more of our movie series "From the Earth to the Moon." I told him that wouldn't work because I was having dinner with my parents because of their friends visiting from Germany.
He said ok, you have class Mon & Wed, how about Thursday? I said how about Friday? He said ok. Big hug and kiss before I left. So weird.
Anyhow, I'm thinking about sending him a text to say I have to take a rain check on the movie. I am going to drive down to surprise my sister for her birthday and spend the weekend with them.
I had IC on Tuesday. I talked to her about how I have been pulling back. I want to pull back more. He said he wants to rebuild, but he wants to be the man, be the pursuer. Fine. Well I'm still not seeing it.
Words are nothing. He has to show me.
The weird thing is, he keeps sending me articles, little texts, last night he even emailed me a photo of one of his Mom's Halloween decorations. (His mom does a huge display in her yard every year.) I haven't responded to any of them.
Yeah, I definitely need a rain check.

I see some aspects of pursuing, I'll grant you that. But, three weeks without a single phone call, two trips out of town, only running into him because I was having dinner with the in-laws - pretty minimal effort to pursue wouldn't you say?
I don't expect him to jump through hoops, nor do I see a need to be all ga-ga over the least little bit of effort.
Nice, noticed, & appreciated, but if I hadn't happened to have been there he wouldn't have made the effort to pick up the phone to arrange it.

I just responded to his question about his Mom's witch she made, wasn't it spooky? I said she was actually kind of pretty. I also said I have to take a rain check on our movie night. I am going to make a trip out of town instead and will be back on Monday.
Right or wrong, I need the break. My suitcase is nearly packed and I will be in NC by tomorrow afternoon.

Hey all. A very quick & short update, because I have a huge project to get done tomorrow for school.
My sister was totally floored that I surprised her for her birthday. She had no idea whatsoever that I was coming.
The littles (Niece, 11 months / Nephew, 2 yrs, 9 months) were adorable, although the nephew was not feeling well and often miserable. Poor babe.
We took the littles to a Day With Thomas at the local transportation museum on Saturday. It was spectacular! They even had a Thomas the train that looked like the real thing. The last event of the day was an actual ride on the train. The little guy was in total awe - Thomas is his favorite.
Sunday I went to a b-day party the nephew was invited to. I was in a house with 8 two year olds and their parents. Needless to say I needed a nap afterward! And, they were all sniffling.
By the time we got back to my sister's I didn't feel good. I even got sick in the bathroom. I had to force myself to get in the car and come home yesterday morning. I drove 7 hours and then could drive no more. I stopped off in PA and spent the night in a hotel.
Bonus - it had a whirlpool. So, I ran to the K-Mart down the road and find a suit on clearance for $3 and soaked a while. Awwwwww, that defines vacation, right there. After a nap I got up and felt well enough to work on homework.
I took my time getting home today. I didn't even leave the hotel until almost 10 am. I got home about 4:45 this evening. Tired, but glad I made the trip.
Now I have to buzz and work on this school project. Due tomorrow and big parts of it are done, but a big part is yet to be done. See Ya'all around.
