I'm not going to say that you'd like the desert, but I do think it would be an experience! Mid summer is probably not the best time, though it is the best time for storms. April, May, October, or November are probably better choices!
Well, I've gone and done it. I've filled out all the info the paralegals needs, and paid them. In a few days I should have the Petition For Dissolution of Marriage.
I didn't want to be here, but it's the place I have to be. And I am ready to be here. I'm liking the direction my life is going. And I am liking the way that we are cooperating on the kids. There's still going to be money stress for a while, but things are going to get consistently better!

No I can`t do the quote thing properly Jeff, but I`m glad you are coming through this difficult time so well.
Been reading through lots of post separation sitches here and there is such a huge variation on how well people cope-and how much the children are affected by it all.
Bet things are cooling down in every sense for you in AZ!
There is a huge variation in how the kids handle things. I really believe that a large part of this is the kids following their parents' lead. If we act like it's the end of the world, guess what? It is going to be really hard on them. Being resentful, angry, vengeful, etc. isn't just bad for us, it hurts our kids. I'm not saying that the kids are not affected, just that we can have a lot to do with how, and how much.
It's cooling down a little here, though it is supposed to be about 32C here today. I guess it's all relative!
Time is on our side, no matter what the result, I think. Someone should write a song.....
But it's a dry heat! Really! It is not as uncomfortable as you would expect. Though I wouldn't run a marathon in it. Hmmmm, I guess I wouldn't run a marathon at all, but you get the idea! It's been getting down to about 20C at night, so probably 25 or so in the evening. The next few months will be really nice!
