so why are you guys letting stbxw's "L write up the stip"? I don't want to nit pick okay, but isn't that again putting it in her hands? Why won't stbxw just go nuts again, and stop it all? I'm a little confused as to why it's up to them to write up the stip....just asking.

And fwiw, are you asking to split the kids each weekend? Just curious. I can see pros and cons, but it's a drag if you want to go out of town with them, as she'll be able to stop it by cutting in for her days. Or so I think.

25% of income for child support seems awfully high - especially if you are having something like 30% or more custody time. Is that from your gross or net?
Was this done using an online state child support calculator?
I was at the Portland Pirate Festival this last weekend and observed the airing of grievances. Pretty funny stuff that ended with sword and gun play for each. But lets not let this thread continue on like a bunch of pirates arguing.
Frank, I think your wound up over this because you identify so closely with FIB...granted your wife isn't nearly as monsterous as FIB's, but on a personal level you and FIB are cut of similar cloth.
Your harping on one point, over and over, do you need to be right that much? Is that the old Frank, the one who wouldn't let go? Is this what you want to be?
Well said. I don't need to be 'right'. I'm very passionate about FIB's well being. I've said enough.
If FIB needs all his friends to be on the same page in order for him to do something then he is a puppet. If someone, one person, not in FIBs shoes, can knock him so out of whack with a statement that may or may not be true, then FIB isn't where he says he is in this process.
Not that anybody asked me but fwiw, I find this to be a very sharp and valid statement.

To 25....it was MY L who actually thought it would be quicker if her L started to write it up. I think also because he did NOT list maintenance on his initial framework. Because they are starting the write up DOES NOT mean that we will agree to EVERYTHING.
As for staying in the house, it will be ordered to be sold. Therefore, I am only in it until it's sale. That may NOT be such a good thing since I will now have to support a house on a 1/2 acre of land, alone AND pay child support. Chapter 13 will be imminent. We are splitting the weekend only for now and hope to get something in writing that will apply until this is done. STBXW works on Sats, so, I get them Sat and she has them Suns. It's nice seeing them every weekend.
FH has been extremely supportive of me...even after I filed which I thought was an amazing thing. He felt that it was the right thing to do at the time and, in spite of his 'standing' approach, he supported my decision as a tool to draw her back in. What became painful is that over the last few months the comments have reversed in spite of the quite apparent presence of STBXW's anger.
To Kerry..it's flat rate and I think it applies to adjusted gross income.
And finally, I remind all that his email was posted anonymously. His comments were hurtful as much as I love this man. It was his choice to reveal the source. I have NEVER posted an email otherwise without someone's permission.
Finally, I thought Frank D's posts showed courage.
I belong, still, to a 'stander's email list' that has FH as a member. Out of respect to him....and to my sentiments expressed today, I am going to resign from their group since my posts are at odds with their philosophy and I do NOT wish to be seen as a hypocrite.
