So another weird, but seemingly positive, sign from W tonight.
I (and S9) am a huge college football fan. I love watching all sports, but college football is my favorite. W has, shall I say, tolerated, watching games with me on tv, but mostly just our alma mater.
So, the last few weeks, she has watched quite a few games/parts of games with me. And she is actually watching and asking questions about the games. She has her laptop open (so do I) and is showing me pic's of different cakes she wants to try to make. I give her my attention when she does and make comments about the cakes.
Tonight, she is making comments about the game we were watching, and she sees some stats on a player with his vertical leap. W says that's a pretty good vertical leap. Yeah, that....WHAT?! WHO ARE YOU? I didn't think she even knew what a vertical leap was.
W has always known how much I enjoy college football season, but has really never shown any interest apart from watching our alma mater play, and even then, she really didn't pay attention to the games.
So, why the new found interest in college football? She's either found a new interest in it or wants to be involved with me in something she knows I like. Maybe her way of paying me back for me showing genuine interest in her cake decorating class and her great skill decorating and baking cakes (surpassed only by my great skill in eating them).
