Oh I have not restated the fact that I am keeping Halloween. I just told him that if he takes the girls 3 weekends in a row, I will be having Halloween. I haven't said much more about it. I have a few more weeks before I have to stir up that hornet's nest.

That's what I like about you Americans, most of the times at least... You make things like Halloween a big deal. Sometimes it looks "commercialised" to us Europeans but when it has to do with kids, I love the "traditions"...

Christmas to me is what has been ruined. They start putting up decorations in October and forget Thanksgiving, like it doesn't even exist. I am still sruggling with how to make it more spiritual and not commercial.

Halloween, I love the dressing up and the kids have sooo much fun. I love seeing the adults and the way they play up the costumes and such. My boys stopped going for candy a few years ago but they love scaring the kids as the come up to the house.

Kid fun = a fun holiday!

Yeah, Halloween was our favorite too, we'd decorate up the yard a few weeks in advance, I put a few dummies I made with my clothes on out front. Kids would by them for weeks and think nothing of it the day the 'big night' came along. Remember, key word, they were wearing MY clothes. mwahahah! laugh

Christmas is my fav' too. As much fun as Halloween is, I always thought of it as the "gateway" holiday leading into the major ones, Thanksgiving and Christmas, followed by New Years.

We have quite a number of December birthdays too on top of that (including my own). S8 is already dreaming of December arriving soon; saying he can't wait for what he's now calling "gift month." LOL.

Did someone give my former boyfriends and crushes my number?? They seem to be dropping all around me, not in a pick me up sort of way but just strange that they are all married and I am not. Is this a karmic lesson or something???

I haven't chatted with any of them per se just accepted friend requests but now one wants to meet up. This is the guy from Senior year. We broke up shortly before I went off to Denmark for a year. Didn't really end on a pretty note. Maybe I am supposed to wrap a pretty ribbon around it and send that one on it's way.

He's married? He wants to meet up? Meeting his wife too I hope....be very careful.

Of course, it could be karmic. Helping to put to rest past R's to make room for a new one! grin

I'm with Mishka...be careful. Depending on his state of mind, that could move to an EA on his part very quickly.

I'm with ya on Halloween...fun! Son says "skeleton" this year.....black clothes, white contact paper, and scissors, and I'm set for him! smile

I am thinking of my state of mind not his. I am NOT going there. You all know my heart is lost to someone else for the time being and I am really not interested in the moment of dating anyone. Things may change but it won't involve this guy for sure. Thanks for your concern ladies, I appreciate it.

I just think it is rather odd that I had so many of them pop up in a week! Must have some things I have to put to rest one way or another to take another step forward. smile
