The weekend was good. No real big doings, but some time with the kids, a round of golf (dodging thunderstorms), just a normal weekend!
Still thinking about the screen name. If I am going to change it, it needs to speak to me! The leader in the clubhouse is probably dry_heat, but there are still players on the course!

We haven't had nearly our usual quota of thunderstorms this year! We've only had about half of our "normal" summer rain. Which is sayin a lot, when your summer ran is half of your normal annual rain, and you are in the desert to begin with!
When we have them, we have great lightning storms!
I think the most intense Thunderstorm I ever saw was driving through the CA desert on I15 going to Vegas. The wind nearly blew us off the road and the lighting strikes were 5-7 at a time all around us. TERRIFYING! I've never gotten to see an AZ storm.
Now GA storms......those are sure fun considering they love to uproot trees into houses every time and there are so many darned trees!!!!

I hardly ever get out of Ohio, but I would love to the the Southwest sometime.
The most intense storm I've ever seen was the one that generated the tornado that hit our house. (We were in it at the time- Kids were in the basement, but H and I were gathering flashlights and jackets.) It's a very odd feeling when you see your family room wall move... Luckily we were only damaged, the house across the street had a direct hit and was totaled. Big winds still make me nervous!
Our storms are fun, usually. They can have some hail and wind, but they don't spawn tornadoes.
When I was young we lived in Ohio, there was a pretty substantial tornado nearby, but we didn't know it til after! Had one just a couple miles away in Alabama. It actually took out "real" houses, pretty scary!
